A machine learning algorithm is easily trained in PyTorch or TensorFlow, possibly even enhanced by a large compute cluster or at least a server with many GPU cores. But how do you get it to work on an actual robot? How do you choose the proper edge devices, how do you tailor the learning to the hardware, and what does the software architecture of the autonomous vehicle look like? Demcon is experienced in developing on and production of autonomous vehicles wherein AI plays a large role. In this lecture we will dive into the whole pipeline, from (synthetic) data to deployment on robots in the field.
